(RCC), we know that the fight against cancer, battling fear, doubt and pain, can be the hardest thing you've ever faced. RCC is a organization founded by a cancer patient, with a leadership team made up of people who have been closely affected by cancer. We know and understand that every patient, at times have some difficult questions. “Did God give me cancer?” “Does God want me to be sick?” “How can I possibly be healed?” “Can I have Joy and cancer at the same time?”
Our founder, Tamela Reed, asked all of these same questions. She found the answers in the Bible. God has provided us with verse after verse about His healing power, His endless love for us and the answers to what he thinks about our current situation. The Recipes for Healing are the note cards on which Tamela wrote these verses, along with commentary relevant to cancer patients and those who care for them. She read them to herself again and again, day and night. When she received her cancer diagnosis, she had just signed a lease on commercial kitchen for her soul food catering business, was the mother of a 5 year old and a new mom to a 6 month old baby. Instead of giving in to depression and bitterness, Tamela accepted a new path. She approached her healing the same way that she approached studying for her 2 Masters Degree, she gathered the ingredients (Scriptures from God’s Word) and studied them on note cards.
